Candid Pictures Over the Past Month of May

After Cloe's Piano Recital May 10th, Kaleb wanted to try out the ivories.
With Izack on the last day of Dodger Baseball for this season.

Trying out Gabriel's new birthday trike. They both knew enough to wear a helmet. So they took turns with Izack's baseball helmet.
Safety first!

~*~*~ How Appropriate ~*~*~

This is a picture of my copy of New Moon by Stephenie Meyer. Many of you know how much I thoroughly enjoy the Twilight Series based on a girl named Bella and her relationship with a family of "vegetarian vampires." How poetic then that my sweet friend's beautiful young daughter took a bite out of this book. Seriously, once I thought about it I had a good laugh. Ah, truly this is life imitating art.

My friend graciously and emphatically said she would replace my book but seriously, ~How Appropriate~ that there is a bite missing from this book. I may have the rest in the series branded the same way. . . I stress the word may. ha!

. . .and then what did I do once I got home with my book? Yet again devoured every juicy word. Ms. Meyer you have a gift.

Happy Birthday Hartley David Andrew Lemmons!

We hope you have a wonderful birthday Hart! Your cousin Gabriel is so excited for you on your 5th birthday. Gabriel's turning five on Sunday and he is so thrilled, too! Have a fun birthday and birthday party!

*Will gladly accept stray cookies left at doorstep*

Today I found cookies at my doorstep from my friend Cortney. Oh, yea, she rocks. Then on the way back from school we have the following conversation:

Me: Hayley's mom made Monster cookies for me but I'll share. Would you like one when we get home, Izack?
Izack: No. (Translation: He's in a bad mood because Cloe went to a friend's house after school and he didn't know about it.)
Me: How about you Gabriel? Would you like a Monster Cookie?
Gabriel: YES! I want the scariest one!
Me: The scariest one. (ha ha ha) Gabriel these are called Monster Cookies because they are huge. Would you like a huge Monster Cookie?
Gabriel: Yes, the scariest one.

They were a wonderful surprise and oh so yummy Cortney. Thank you so much!!!! And once Izack had a Monster Cookie he magically found a good mood. You are a miracle worker.

Wii are having fun!

Our newest Wii experience involves the whole family watching me try to play a game called "Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine." The game requires matching colored beans making them disappear thus sending 'bean bombs' over to the opponent's side.

I was playing against the computer and the children were all around exclaiming, "Oh, you NEED a green one" or "Oh, you NEED a red one" or "Aaaaaah, you NEED a yellow one." All the while the beans perilously filled higher and higher. Finally, I concede, "what I really NEED is a prayer." Immediately Gabriel folds his arms, bows his head and says, "Heavenly Father we thank thee for this day. . ."
